Hi. Yeah its very possible for you to get an elementary teaching degree online.
The sad part is that a lot of people think that online courses are a breeze and therefore take them lightly. The fact is that studying online is not easy. Since it gives you the freedom to choose your own timings and the duration of your study session, a lot of people take them for granted. Not submitting assignments on time means you could take 3 years to finish a two year course. It also deteriorates the quality of the degree.
Another thing which I thought you must know about is diploma mills. These are a complete waste of your money and time. They are not accredited hence no recognition. They will lure you into joining them by charging low fees and offering easy course work.
Whichever college you decide to join, make sure you check that it is accredited. Also ask students of the same college for their opinion on the college. Do some background research on the faculty too.

If you live near Baton Rouge there is a place called LRCE on Floriday Ave that can help get you certified over the summer if you take the PRAXIS I and II plus go to their summer program – the classes are about 6 weeks of M-F in the from about 8-3 and you could possibly still work. They are great at helping you find a job hopefully in your area. If not, there is Teach for America – Louisiana. All schools have some form of alternate certification. You can do online certification, but it is usually expensive and you still have to student teaching.
yes you can but you will still have to do your student teaching in person..
